Those who visit the forum have seen me sign off with.. off to haul the horses to the buckle run. Well this past Friday was the last night of the buckle run for Ranch Sorting. The first time my hubby has signed up for one of the Buckle series and he came in Second. So very proud of him!! We had a great evening. My son took his new pony in for the first time and she and he did awesome!! She will definitely test his ability to ride and teach him patience and has more potential then our other pony. So it was just an all around great evening!

Shannon has been working on this buckle for a long time. So she was super happy and excited to win. Interesting how people cross your path again in life. Shannon used to team pen where my hubby did when he and I started dating 11 years ago. Just a fun lady and glad to have run into her again in life.

Well that was our winning Friday night. The next series won't be for a bit, but we'll keep going just to hang out with the fun people. And I can get some better pics and video of my guys riding because it is switching to the winter schedule.

Enjoy!
Chris

Congrats to the whole family. That is awesome for your hubby to get 2nd on his 1st try. Even more awesome is your son and his new pony. This sounds like you have got a keeper. He did a great job taking the photo too.

I seen a lecture at the Congress about the ligament problems, thought of you guys. ;) Do you ever go to the congress (http://www.oqha.com/congress/)? I'm about 2 hours from it. I use to go and show but now I just go shop every couple of years.

Ginger,
We haven'tbeen to the congress. We should consider going. My hubby booked us for vegas for the nfr and I do most of my shopping there. three convention centers of cowboy christmas. our shoer was just here and they welded this contraption that is on the mares horseshoe and gives her something to rest on when she wants to stand on that foot but doesnt have to go all the way back and further stretch the ligaments. We'll see. I watched her have a hard time getting up the other day. Totally sad. One day at a time.

Lori. .. Luckily he lost to the nice girl because the other girl in the picture on the left is mean! She drinks the whole night and then moans and groans about everyone. Last time she said would he just hurry up and she was talking about my kiddo getting his horse ready. so I turned to her and said... "better watch what you say or I'll pull your drunk self off that horse" She didn't say another word. Just so flipping annoying and rude. I have never met another woman like her. just puts my hair all up thinking about her. She told my husband well now all of us almost have won a buckle so you'll have less competition. (she says all this under her breathe) My hubsand just walked on like he hadnt heard her. Our friend Shannon said well at least he won't have to worry about riding with a drunk partner anymore. I usually find something good in everyone. But this lady I just cannot pinpoint one thing I would consider likeable about her. That's my vent. She hates to talk to me and so I always say Hi to her really loud so she feels indebted to say hello back. Mean of me but oh well. Kill 'em with kindness or something another.

that's my vent and my ramble. I will take a picture of that horse shoe so you can see it. just really ridiculous looking but I hope it helps her with some relief.

Enjoy!
Chris
