August Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! I know it's already the 2'nd--so here is your August sketch challenge. Rosalie, our wonderful sketch coordinator sent me some great sketches to choose from!

This month we have a sketch from Becky Fleck at Pagemaps. Isn't it charming?

I, Kandrew of K Andrew Designs (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/store/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=15) have designed the files for this month. They are very simple but just right for the school days right around the corner! If you would like the cut files, just PM me with your email address and I'll get them right to you--quick as a flash!

The August grab bag (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/store/product.php?productid=17476&cat=284&page=1) is also full of back to school files. Make sure you hop over and grab it--full of beautiful files for back to school--game on! This would be a GREAT chance to use some of them!

I've sent the file to lots of people who have emailed and PM---so hopefully everyone wil lhave a chance to play with it--I know what a BUSY mont this is with the kids school.
I finished mine last night--just have to pop his pic on the 11'th of august!

Thank you Kristal for sharing your cutter file...........and got a question do we use the layout with the cutter file or are we allowed to do any kind of layout subject but based on this sketch.

Ladies I am not sure how many of you have seen kristal's work before but she is very talented in all different avenues.

Thank you all so much--its' not a great pic--but I'm a HORRIBLE photographer! that's sad isn't it, since I take all the pics around here! lol

Okay, so here is my take on the Back to School file. I loved it. Since I couldn't really do a layout using this I came up with the idea to use it as an embellishment for a mini clipboard. I loved the idea that Kristal gave of using it as a post it note which then gave me this idea. Hope you enjoy.

Here is my submission. I didn't really follow the sketch but used the supplied file split between two pages for my children's school photos. On one of them I also used one of Chris' files (CD00596).

Sorry the coloring is off, bad lighting I guess. I also didn't journal before the picture, but added afterwards to maintain some anomymity for my children.

don't think my parents thought school photos were as important as i do as I seem to have one photo and that is it LOL and my Ex was the same. While I had the kids I had school photos done every year without fail and he always got a decent copy of each, once they went to him (we moved to the country, the girls wanted to stay on town) he got school photos every now and then and I got passport size ones to keep. So mad! Now I am trying to put together the girls' albums with little to use in their later yrs at school. grrrrrr

This challenge is from August last year. I keep trting to get new challenges posted, but run out of time. So sorry about that.

If you want inspiration our gallery is also filled with it. The got is in the link in the blue bar above.

I will have to check into the errors when I ask at the computer. it may be after time some of the links are gone.
