let's try to run one. What is the last thing you cut on your cutter from the store. Post a picture here and I will enter you in a drawing. I haven't decided the give away, but if you just cut something from one of our awesome designers at the store post it.

You have until August 11th to post and it can be the whole layout. the cut itself and even posted already in the forum. It just needs to be in by the 11th and it needs to be from one the Designers of the More Team and/or me!

and if you want an extra entry for drawing. Post on my facebook fan page when you have uploaded. This will give you an entry for in the forum and an entry for the facebook post.

Try to comment on the post at facebook for this thread!! makes it easier when I am adding names. woohooo!!

Have a fantastic weekend and I hope this is the inspiration to cut something fun this weekend!
Enjoy!

here's mine... I finished cutting enough chess pieces for 8 cards last week.

Great timing. I just finished this card yesterday for a RAK. I used Chris’ Ocean Stencil Card Front (CD00718) and Scuba Diver Card (CD00325). The scuba diver was cut from vinyl and mounted on a thin piece of plastic. The plastic was then mounted on the card with pop dots. It's also in my album here (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/album.php?albumid=33&pictureid=869).

It would be the tags I cut for the swap, using Cardiology's june challenge file I think, and I also cut snowflakes from an old file of Chris'.

Hmm, I guess it would have to be my tags as well. I used a rubber stamp for one, but the other was Chris' file--I just made it a stencil and used embossing paste to do the design.

This is the last one I'm pretty sure...it was for a card swap I was in. I love how it turned out.

Great projects ladies. My last cut was not from the store. But my last cut from the forum was the July challenge and the humidity was horrible that day. Needless to say nothing cut right, so, I quit! Should have took some photos of that mess (just for fun and laughs). :D

Hope everyone gets to have fun cutting!!;)

Ginger, I so know how that is, man, my last 4 pieces of bazzil bling would not cut for any thing, with a new blade, mat, different settings, My husband asked why I was making such a mess, I told him it was not intentional.

Man, I hate that, I KNOW my machine cuts great, so when it dont, man is it frustrating. I even used the heat gun, that helped a little but not much, So I gave up and its raining again today, so no cutting to day it looks like.

I need to invest in a air dry machine. What are those called?

You mean a dehumidifier?
Have you tried a hair dry blower on your paper? Maybe on the low setting?

I cut some files last week but don't have them onto pages yet. This may give me the push I need to assemble a page, or I may have to wait a couple of days until after we have guests. Depends on how much practice parallel parking my son is willing to do today before his next shot at the driver's license test tomorrow.

YES! That is what its called. Thanks, I just couldn't think of what it was called.

Thanks,

Sharon

hehe ... I was going to suggest it was a Humidifier... but I knew that couldn't be right ! LOL

My latest cutting would also have been for my Tags for the swap. I used Chris's CD00562-Birthday Bear; Sharon's RM00062-Beach Hammock Title and Darcy's DD00032-Penguin as well as cutter files from Designers from Paperthreads.

Alot of folks use those open paper trays. When I worked in printing the copies and printers always acted so crazy when there was humidity in the air. so everything was always boxed or wrapped to avoid loss. I still use this theory in my craftroom and have all papers in those plastic 12x12 containers or I have a bunch of white stationery boxes. it is super muggy right here with the rains. when I walk outside I am drenched with sweat and I have cool frizz hair going on. but I cut all my paper last week and had no problem. I cut one sheet that had been sitting on the counter and it just was a nightmare so I put it in the scraps basket for the kiddo. I cringe when I see those open wire racks for paper. I know that it just soaks up the water like crazy. May look pretty but not good for loss. just my personal opinion and everyone's got one :-)

This is all interesting as I have days where my paper does not cut right. I always blame it on something else.

I need to post a few things but have not yet. I am still in vacation/family visiting mode so hopefully i will tuesday. and I need to edit a lot of pictures.
I think we have about 2000 pic to go through a lot will be deleted or just moved to another file not to be printed. how i wish i had all day to just play.

It is a scuba diver applied to the side of a water tank... very cool!!

MamawAnn
08-10-2010, 03:21 PM
Thanks Caz...I knew it was a scuba but wasn't sure what the white tank was...I've seen huge tanks for like a whole town would use but if we around here don't have "city water" we have wells that are drilled down so far and pumped into our homes so I figured it was something to do with water. Very creative!!!

aussie_caz
08-10-2010, 03:32 PM
We dont have town water either, but our water tank is underground and the one above ground one is a pebbled concrete finish and wouldn't take something being stuck on it, but it is a fun idea!

I have been enjoying everyone else's creativity while waiting for time to do a page or two. I worked on this page tonight, but I haven't cut the files yet for the one that belongs with it. This one uses Beloved Keepsakes BK00370 Hocus Pocus, which was in the June Grab Bag.

I cut a bunch of files in the past week, but I don't have the photos printed for most of them. This challenge was a great idea- it pushed me into hooking up my Cricut. Now I need to order some more photos.
